For many years, I have provided counseling and financial seminars for those seeking to obtain home loans.  Many did not qualify on the day of application.  I always started out by explaining the details of mortgage financing.  But I soon realized that people were not being denied a home loan because they didn't understand the meaning of "debt-to-income ratio," or "loan-to-value," or other mortgage terminology.  They were denied a home loan because they didn't understand how to manage their own money!  They didn't understand debt and how the credit system works.

The reason many people are forced into bankruptcy or foreclosure is because they do not properly understanding how to manage their money, credit, and debt.  Oftentimes the reason many people are having difficulty saving for a rainy day, big-ticket items, down payments, their children’s education or for retirement is due to them not properly understanding how to manage their money, credit, and debt.

As a result I began to talk and write about the real issues that many of us face on a day to day basis regarding money, credit, and debt.  You will find some of my articles on this website for your review. My writing style is not that of textbook fashion. My writing style is a commonsense, conversational style that I hope will interest, inform and inspire you to get an “ACE Grip” on you finances. All of the articles that I write are based on questions and experiences I have encountered from my clients. I have drawn on my own personal experiences, training, and research to articulate the problems and questions that many of us have and I attempt to provide the solutions to those problems.
